سبيل وكتاب أوده باشا

أنشأه ذو الفقار كتخدا مستحفظان فى عام 1673م-1084هـ. ويقع في الجمالية شاربع باب النصر. ويتبع تخطيط هذا السبيل النمط المحلي فى تخطيط الأسبلة، والذي يعد إمتداداً لأساليب تخطيط أسبلة العصر المملوكي.  ويتكون السبيل من حجرة السبيل المستطيلة الشكل، ويوجد شباكا التسبيل بالواجهة البحرية على شارع الجمالية وبالواجهة الشمالية الشرقية على حارة الميضة، ويوجد فى الجهه الغربية وكالة وحوانيت ملحقة، كما يعلو السبيل كتاب ورواقان سكنيان، ويلاحظ أن كثيراً من الأسبلة ذات الشباكين بالذات كان يعلوها قاعات سكنية.
النص التأسيسي يحمل اسم المنشيء محمد كتخدا، ويعلو الواجهة الشمالية الغربية.

وظيفة الأسبلة المائية:

كان الاهتمام ببناء الأسبلة المائية عادة قديمة عند كل الملوك والسلاطين منذ القدم ، ولكن عند المسلمين أخذت طابعاً مميزاً بحيث سارع أهل الخير والأغنياء للتنافس فيما بينهم لعمل الخير ، ولذلك سارع السلاطين والأمراء والحكام على إنشاء الأسبلة المائية في الأزقة والطرقات وفي الأماكن العامة حتى يعم الخير ، وبذلك ينالون الأجر والثواب.

وتتعدد وظائف  الأسبلة المائية إلا انها لم تقتصر على وظيفة توفير المياه للمارة فحسب؛ بل كانت لها وظيفة تعليمية، حيث كان يُلحق بها في الجزء العلوي منها في الطابق الثالث مكتب أو كُتَّابٌ ليتعلم فيه الصغار مبادئ القراءة والكتابة وتحفيظ القرآن الكريم، وقد استمر الجمع بين وظيفة السقاية والتعلم في بناء الأسبلة  المائية منذ فترة الحكم المملوكي، وهو الشيء الذي يعطي السبيل المصري خصوصيةً وتميزه عن الأسبلة  المائية الأخرى التي أُنشئت في معظم مدن العالم الإسلامي.

Créée par Zulfikar Katakhda Msthfezan en 1673 -1084 e. Il est situé dans l'esthétique Harpa Bab al-Nasr.
