سبيل الكأس– بالمسجد الاقصى - فلسطين

يسمى سبيل أو ميضأة الكأس لشكله الشبيه بالكأس، كما يطلق عليه أيضا  “بركة”. ويقع سبيل الكأس أمام الجامع القِبْلي في منتصف المسافة تقريبا بينه وبين البائكة الجنوبية التي تقود إلى صحن قبة الصخرة (الواقعة في قلب المسجد الأقصى المبارك). قيل إنه من بناء العباسيين في الأصل، ولكن البناء الحالي تم في عهد السلطان الأيوبي أبو بكر بن أيوب عام 589هـ – 1193م، كما جدده المماليك. ويحتوى  سبيل الكأس على بركة أسطوانية الشكل، وفي وسطها كاس مرتفعة، تتوسطها ماسورة مياه، تتدفق المياه منها إلى الحوض، فتصب من الكأس للبركة، بشكل جميل. يستعمل الناس مياه الكأس للوضوء خاصة،حيث الكراسي الجميلة الألوان، الحجرية البديعة الصنع، من أمام كل منها حنفية مربوطة بالبركة من أمامه، وهي عبارة عن عشرين حنفية. وهناك مصطبة إلى الشرق من سبيل الكأس، تسمى مصطبة الكأس، وعليها شبه محراب حديدي يظهر اتجاه القبلة، ويحجز بين المصلين والمشاة، وتنبت في المصطبة سروتان عظيمتان تظلان مستعمليها من شدة الحرارة، وإلى الشرق أيضا من مصطبة الكأس، توجد بئر لها فم ظاهر بمحاذاتها، بلغت أطوالها عشرة أمتار وعرضها ستة، أما عمقها فعشرون مترا.
