بركة النارنج

تقع بركة النارنج في الساحات
الغربية للمسجد الأقصى المبارك أمام المدرسة الأشرفية، بين مصطبة سبيل قايتباي
شمالا، وسبيل قاسم باشا جنوبا، ولها من الأسماء أيضاً (بركة عنغج)، وقد بنيت بركة
النارنج في عهد السلطان المملوكي قايتباي عام 887هـ – 1482م, وقامت لجنة إعمار
المقدسات بترميمها مؤخرا. وهي بركة مربعة الشكل،
طول ضلعها سبعة أمتار، فرشت أرضها وحيطانها بالرخام، في وسطها صحن نافورة معطلة،
إذ استغني عن عملها بمخزن المياه الخاص بسبيل قاسم باشا الملاصق لها من الجهة
الجنوبية، وبالمتوضأ الذي أضافته لجنة
الإعمار، في نهاية سنة 1997م، حول جهاتها الثلاث الأخرى. وهي عبارة عن أربع وعشرين
حنفية.
