قام الملك خفرع ببناء تحفة فنية أخرى وهى تمثال
أبو الهول الذى يجسد رأس الملك خفرع ووجه على جسد أسد. أبو الهول هو حامى الأهرامات كما يسميه علماء
الآثار وهو واحد من أكبر التماثيل فى العالم حيث يضاهى حجمه حجم طائرة نفاثة.
عندما تم اكتشاف تمثال ابو الهول كان مغطى بالرمال حتى رقبته مما ساعد على الحفاظ
عليه حتى أزيحت الرمال عنه عام 1925 ميلاديا.
